WOOD SCREW WITH HEAD WITH FALSE WASHER (SK)
ASSY 3.0 SK WOOD SCREW
The ASSY 3.0 SK wood screw has a slightly domed head with a large integrated washer. This head shape increases the contact surface with the support and therefore improves the clamping capacity. The washer is directly integrated into the screw head to avoid additional manipulation during application.
Excellent screws for wood construction, the ASSY 3.0 SK screw has become an essential screw for our carpentry customers. The large surface of the screw head provides a much higher load capacity than any other structural screw.
The multitude of applications of this screw does not stop only with wooden construction: wooden frame houses, small farmhouses, car or garden shelters, sheds, attic layout… these screws have so many applications that we also recommend it as an alternative to hinge screws (providing greater resistance thanks to its cone under the head) or lag bolts.
This can also be applied to solid or hollow masonry with anchoring.
EXAMPLE OF SPECIFIC APPLICATION OF THE SK SCREW:
Roofing repair frame assembly
Coupled with our ASSY Plus VG reinforcement screw, the ASSY 3.0 SK wood screw provides a perfect solution for roof repair assemblies.
The VG screw is ideal for holding purlins together while taking up the load. The SK screw makes it possible to tighten and maintain the purlins thanks to the large surface of its washer.
The ASSY 3.0 SK wood screw is also available in A2 stainless steel version specially designed for use in a humid environment exposed to the weather, for fixing hinges, fences, palisades, etc.
ASSY 3.0 SK II WOOD SCREW
Screw par excellence in the field of wood construction, the ASSY 3.0 SK II screw is an alternative screw to the classic raised head version. Its countersunk, notched head with flat washer combines the advantages of the countersunk head and the washer head at the same time.
It is both useful for specific applications where it was previously necessary to drown the screw, but is also useful for oblique screwing.
It should be noted that the resistance values of our ASSY 3.0 SK II wood screw are higher than our ASSY 3.0 classic screw but less than the ASSY 3.0 SK classic version.
EXAMPLE OF A SPECIFIC APPLICATION FOR THE SK II SCREW:
Attachment of rafter on purlin on roof
Some battens sometimes go exactly where the rafter is fixed on the purlin. With a classic ASSY 3.0 SK version with a slightly domed head, the solution was then to drown the screw in the rafter, an operation which has now been eliminated.
Where the classic version ASSY 3.0 SK would create an extra thickness due to its domed head, the ASSY SK II wood screw provides an ideal flush fixing solution and thus allowing to come fix the batten without any need to drown the screw.
