BOX WRENCHES TO EFFECTIVELY TIGHTEN AND LOOSEN SCREWS AND NUTS
Do you need a powerful wrench to do your work? The special feature of the box wrench is that it ends with an "eye" designed to include the screw or nut to be tightened. Discover the wide range of professional ring wrenches developed by Würth.
A WRENCH WITH AN EYE (A 6 OR 12 POINT SOCKET) WHICH ENCLOSES THE SCREW NUT
If the flat wrench is recognizable by its forks, the box wrench is distinguished by its eye, namely a socket with 6 or 12 points intended to surround all or part of the screw or nut to be screwed or unscrewed. The box wrench, or eye wrench, is used in many areas of general mechanics, such as plumbing, automotive and machine production, to assemble:
• piping systems
• brake lines, radiator circuits
• universal joint shaft flanges, axle joints, ball joints
• engine blocks, starters, etc.
OPT FOR DURABLE RING WRENCHES WITH STRONG TIGHTENING CAPACITIES
The special design of the box wrench gives it more efficiency than an ordinary wrench, and allows you to work with ease and speed. Composed of a very resistant chrome vanadium steel, Würth keys stand out for their capacity:
• to receive high pressure
• to transmit this power optimally
• to endure over time.
DOUBLE HEXAGONAL, ULTRA-LONG, ARTICULATED HEAD, HALF-MOON ...
With our professional ring wrenches, you are sure to tighten pipe screws and other union nuts carefully. All you have to do is identify the key whose characteristics best suit your needs: type of imprint, open or closed eye, eye diameter, length of the key, etc. We provide you with polygonal keys:
• double open, with hexagonal Powerdriv drive
• double with deep offset, 12-point Powerdriv drive
• extra-long, or with articulated head (for screws and nuts placed in difficult to reach places)
• in the shape of a half moon, etc.
BOX KEYS AND THE POWERDRIV SYSTEM
The POWERDRIV® system was developed for specific requirements in the aviation field, in order to obtain better calibration.
This allows better power transmission at eye level while sparing the nut. The POWERDRIV® system of ring wrenches drives the nut on the sides and not on the corners like a traditional key.
The driving surface is therefore larger, which provides more safety as well as a larger power transmission. The life of the hardware is extended, as the wear of the angles is reduced.
With the POWERDRIV® system combined with the box keys, even old and rusty screws can be loosened without a problem.
