SMP ADHESIVES: FASTER PROCESSING DIRECTLY ON THE SURFACE

Unlike many polyurethane adhesives, SMP (silyl modified polymer) adhesives can be applied directly to the surface without a primer, which normally has to be applied separately beforehand.

Their low odour, universal use and high temperature resistance are great advantages for the new technology of adhesive sealants. In addition, good paint compatibility and high UV resistance are reasons for the growing importance of this technology. Depending on the precise raw material base, products based on SMP are available under different names (e.g. MS polymer, hybrid polymer, STP, SPUR and others).
