Materials must be free from grease, dust and other contaminants. The test panel should always be prepared when using new materials to establish the adhesives compatibility. The amount of adhesive to be applied is subject to the materials porosity/smoothness and means of application, but should be in the range of 80 to 140 grams per square metre.
Once the adhesive is applied, the panel should be placed under pressure within 5 minutes at a rate of 0.5 to 0.9 bar. Pressure should be maintained until adhesive is sufficiently cured to permit handling.
