EXPLANATION OF TERMS

Cutting material:

HSS = high-performance high- speed steel

HSCO = high- performance high- speed steel with 5% cobalt content

HSS-CO8 = high-performance high-speed steel with 8% cobalt content

Coating: Magma

Multilayer consisting of TIN and TIALN, heat-resistant up to 800 ° C and a hardness of 3300 HV. The advantage of this layer is that TIN and TIALN are applied alternately during the coating process, which protects the drill in the event of cracks in the layers.

Coating: TIALN

monolayer layer consisting of TIALN, heat-resistant up to 900 ° C and a hardness of 3600 HV

HC (High Speed Cutting)

Precise, CNC-controlled grinding process. This ensures a precise cutting edge geometry and thus a constant hole quality with a long service life.

Type

RN = Right hand cutting Normal, RW = Right hand cutting soft (e.g. Aluminum), RH = right hand cutting hard (eg brass / Hardox)

standard

DIN = DIN standard, WN = according to factory standard
