LUBRICANTS FOR THE HIGHEST REQUIREMENTS: LUBRICATING GREASE FROM WÜRTH
It doesn't work without lubricants - in the truest sense of the word. Greases are used in a wide variety of industries and trades, with the right grease is required for every application. Whether gear and roller bearing grease for mechanical engineering, high-quality adhesive lubricants or versatile multi-purpose grease for all areas of production and packaging machines: WÜRTH offers a wide range of high-quality greases for professional use. LUBRICATING GREASES COMBINE LUBRICATION AND EFFECTIVE CORROSION PROTECTION
Greases are generally used to protect metal parts that are subject to excessive movement and / or friction. First, the lubricant reduces the friction between moving metal parts, such as gears, chains, joints, and bearings. On the other hand, the grease protects the metal parts from dirt and moisture. Both properties extend the functionality and service life of engine and machine components, tools and other mechanical components.
As different as the consistencies and areas of application of lubricating greases are, their basis is almost always the same: As a rule, lubricating greases consist of 75–80% of a base oil. There are also various additives, mainly soapy thickeners and other additives such as corrosion inhibitors. The additives make the real difference between the greases - they are responsible for whether a grease is particularly weather-resistant, temperature-resistant or pressure-resistant. Würth has the right greases for all of these and many other requirements - here in the online shop and in our shop branches nationwide.
THE RIGHT LUBRICANT FOR EVERY INDUSTRIAL AND MACHINE APPLICATION
The type of base oil and the type of soap or the thickener used are decisive for the properties of a grease. Mixing greases with different thickeners can change the lubrication performance. Further criteria when choosing the grease are, for example, the temperature resistance, the given corrosion protection, the adhesion, the chemical resistance and the pressure resistance. Typical greases that you can also find at WÜRTH are:
• Adhesive lubricating grease: Adhesive lubricants are used in demanding environments - with high temperature loads and strong temperature fluctuations as well as on open bearings and joints where the lubricant has to adhere as well as possible.
• Silicone grease: Silicone greases are highly water-repellent, resistant to most chemicals and do not attack rubber and plastics. For this reason, silicone greases are mainly used as assembly aids and for isolating components made of different materials such as rubber and plastic or plastic and metal.
• Pressure-resistant grease: Many components in mechanical and plant engineering are exposed to high mechanical loads. Gear lubricating greases and roller bearing lubricating greases are therefore not only temperature-resistant but also pressure-resistant to ensure a long-term and even lubricating effect.
In addition to high-quality lubricating greases and lubricating oils, the WÜRTH range naturally also includes rust removers, lubricants, engine and gear oils, machining lubricants and many more - everything you need for the care, maintenance and repair of machines, vehicles, tools and systems.
